Job summary

DSV in Itasca, IL, seeks a Senior P&O (HR) Business Partner to act as a strategic and hands-on advisor to operations leadership, owning the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will partner with talent acquisition, manage employee relations, performance, engagement, and compliance, while coaching managers and guiding HR initiatives across multi-state sites. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years HR Partner experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience handling complex employee relations issues and investigations.
• Experience supporting multi-state operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (SuccessFactors, ADP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Coach managers on performance, development, feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Support recruiting and onboarding with Talent Acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and policies.
• Lead HR programs and initiatives and collaborate with leadership.
