Job summary

Featherless AI in San Francisco is hiring its first Chief of Staff to unlock the next growth phase. This role converts founder instinct into process, owning operational areas beyond the CEO's calendar, and it's not an executive assistant.

You will coordinate across engineering, sales, and product, define a leadership rhythm, manage vendor contracts and recruiting workflows, and tackle high-priority projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment (startup ops, strategy consulting, banking, or similar).
• Enough technical fluency to sit in engineering syncs and customer calls and ask good questions.
• Track record turning undefined problems into actionable plans with minimal hand-holding.

Responsibilities

• Operational admin that shouldn't sit with the CEO — vendor contracts and renewals, finance/ops logistics, recruiting-process management.
• Cross-team coordination between engineering, sales, and product to align priorities.
• The operating rhythm — stand up cadence, leadership meetings, action-item tracking, decision follow-through.
• Special projects — highest-priority work with no clear owner.
