Job summary

The Senior Analyst in Dow Jones' GBO Strategy & Operations plays a pivotal role in delivering operational performance, workflow optimization, and strategic alignment across the enterprise from our NYC office.

You will own process redesigns, metrics frameworks, and handoffs, embed dashboards and OKRs, and partner with Tech to translate future-state designs into automation and AI blueprints, helping establish the new function from the ground up.

Qualifications

3+ years in Business Analysis, Process Optimization, Strategy & Ops, or Management Consulting in tech-adjacent environment.
Experience writing BRDs, process maps, user stories, or functional specs.
Strong facilitation and cross-functional alignment skills; capable of building a new team function.

Responsibilities

Lead mapping of current-state workflows, pain-points, and decision rights across units.
Redesign end-to-end processes, define human vs. technology task allocation.
Translate future-state designs into automation/AI recommendations and prepare handoff packages.
Conduct root-cause analysis and establish process baselines for improvement opportunities.
Audit platforms and prototype lightweight AI-enabled solutions before tech builds.
Develop and scale Process Mapping templates, playbooks, and self-service resources.
