Job summary

Pace® Life Sciences is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a comprehensive scientific services operation. You will oversee facility goals, budgets, and cross-functional programs while ensuring compliance and exceptional service delivery.

You will partner with site and corporate leadership, manage managers and teams, and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Operations, or related field and 7 years of managerial experience.
• Expert knowledge of service and operational administration principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams, motivate employees, and lead within a collaborative environment.
• Experience developing and administering budgets and managing financial performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the implementation of facility goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Lead the preparation, management, and administration of facility budgets and operational resources.
• Develop, implement, and oversee operational and service programs, initiatives, and systems across assigned functions.
• Provide strategic direction for laboratory, service, field, and operational activities within the facility.
• Plan, organize, administer, evaluate, and develop the performance of assigned managers and staff.
• Lead and participate in operational, monthly, and cross-functional meetings to drive alignment and business results.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, institutional, and industry regulations and standards.
• Identify operational risks, investigate incidents and exposures, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and remediation plans.
• Compile, analyze, and present operational and service performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Recommend improvements to organizational policies, procedures, and operational practices.
• Lead special projects, identify priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and evaluate outcomes.
