Job summary

Pace is seeking a General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a facility that may include laboratory operations, service centers, field services, and related functions. You will oversee budgets, performance metrics, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery.

You will lead managers and teams to drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer satisfaction, while aligning with Pace’s mission and values across a diverse stakeholder base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Operations, or a closely related field and seven years of managerial experience.
• Expert knowledge of service and operational administration principles, practices, and techniques.
• Strong leadership experience in goal setting, program development, implementation, evaluation, and employee management.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and lead within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct facility goals, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Lead the preparation, management, and administration of facility budgets and operational resources.
• Develop, implement, and oversee operational and service programs, initiatives, and systems across assigned functions.
• Provide strategic direction for laboratory, service, field, and operational activities within the facility.
• Plan, organize, administer, evaluate, and develop the performance of assigned managers and staff.
• Lead and participate in operational, monthly, and cross-functional meetings to drive alignment and business results.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, institutional, and industry regulations and standards.
• Identify operational risks, investigate incidents and exposures, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and remediation plans.
• Compile, analyze, and present operational and service performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Recommend improvements to organizational policies, procedures, and operational practices.
• Lead special projects, identify priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and evaluate outcomes.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, emerging technologies, and best practices impacting laboratory and operational services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Promote Pace®'s mission and values through collaborative leadership and professional interactions with employees and customers.
