YMCA of the USA is seeking an experienced leader to drive operations across multiple departments. You will implement branch priorities, oversee maintenance and program functions, and ensure strong performance, safety, and a positive member experience.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of multi-department leadership in a complex nonprofit, with proven skills in budgeting, strategic initiatives, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Recreation, Education, Sports Management, Nonprofit Leadership, or related field.
• Five or more years of leadership experience managing multi-department operations in a complex nonprofit.
• Proven success leading day-to-day operations, staff development, and program growth.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, operations, and performance outcomes.
• Ability to develop department directors and build collaborative teams.
• Experience implementing strategic initiatives balancing operational excellence with priorities.
• Ability to lead multiple departments aligning performance with branch priorities.
• Strong fiscal management, planning, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to coach, develop, and hold department leaders accountable.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees, volunteers, donors, partners.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to lead organizational change, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, financial software, and AI.
• High level of integrity, judgment, professionalism, and accountability.

Responsabilités

• Provides operational leadership for assigned departments by implementing branch priorities.
• Oversees branch operations through Maintenance and Program Directors and is accountable for performance, member experience, safety, financial results, and organizational effectiveness.
• Serves as Acting Executive Director in the Executive Director's absence.
