Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring an Operations Controller responsible for accounting within assigned accounts and supporting the Regional Director of Finance in all financial activities in the region.

The role includes overseeing cash handling, reconciliations, and monthly closings, with emphasis on accuracy, forecasting, and budgeting. Strong Excel and accounting software skills are essential for robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• Five years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting and cash handling preferred.
• Experience in foodservice or retail accounting environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees cash handling procedures and reconciliations.
• Performs balance sheet account analysis and monthly closings.
• Analyzes financial results for internal and external use.
• Tracks monthly P/L and balance sheet activity.
• Develops forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Reviews general ledger and balance sheets for accuracy.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and audit reporting.
