Job summary

Larimer County's Natural Resources Department is seeking a Business Operations Supervisor to oversee budget-related activities and provide advanced administrative, operational, and analytical support to improve departmental effectiveness.

You will supervise staff, administer budgets, oversee accounts payable and general ledger, and promote consistent processes across programs, collaborating with Visitor Services, Finance, IT, and leadership to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Three years' experience in a directly related field, with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply county rules, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned staff, including hiring, performance management, and goal setting.
• Prepare, administer, and monitor operational budgets.
• Oversee accounts payable, general ledger, and cash-handling activities.
• Ensure administrative functions are carried out across units and programs.
• Establish and evaluate systems, processes, and policies to support operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
