Job summary

Larimer County Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Park Ranger to join our team. The role focuses on customer service, natural resource management, and enforcing park rules within Larimer County’s open spaces and recreation areas.

The position may require supervising staff and supporting ranger and volunteer programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in parks or natural resource management, strong communication skills, and knowledge of law enforcement practices relevant to park

Qualifications

• Experience in parks administration, outdoor recreation management, or natural resource management.
• Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of supervision and training principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and natural resource management to citizens.
• Enforce Colorado Revised Statutes, park rules, and regulations as a peace officer.
• Contact violators, issue warnings or citations, and conduct investigations and arrests.
• Assist in ranger and volunteer program development and supervision of staff.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and support day-to-day park operations.
