Deschutes County seeks an experienced Budget and Financial Planning Manager to lead the Budget Office’s daily operations and guide the county’s budgeting processes. You will interact with the executive team, department directors, and the Board to ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.

The role requires a strong background in government budgeting, leadership of professional staff, and proficiency with Munis and Workiva.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field; 5+ years public sector financial analysis and budgeting experience; equivalent combinations accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Budget Office; oversee annual budget process and budget book publishing; provide decision support on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
