Job summary

Larimer County in Colorado seeks a Business Operations Supervisor within the Natural Resources Department to oversee budget-related activities and provide high-level administrative, operational, and analytical support to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, review procedures, and collaborate across Visitor Services, Finance, IT, and leadership to implement improved processes, technology, and guidance for ongoing departmental priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Three (3) years' related experience, with one year in a supervisory role.
  • Reliable transportation to work in County facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned staff, including hiring, performance management, evaluations, and setting performance standards, objectives, and goals.
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor operational budgets.
  • Oversee accounts payable, general ledger, and cash-handling activities.
  • Ensure administrative functions are carried out effectively across units and programs.
  • Establish and evaluate systems, processes, and policies to support operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
