Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Manager, Nursing to oversee 24-hour operations and ensure high-quality patient care across designated units. This role emphasizes collaboration, performance initiatives, and safety.

The Manager will guide staffing decisions and policy implementation while mentoring staff and promoting service excellence. Required are a BSN or higher, at least 3 years of nursing experience with leadership exposure, Texas RN licensure with possible temporary licensure, and BLS; Magnet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Three years’ experience in nursing, one year in a progressive leadership role in healthcare; for HM internal, two years’ experience in nursing which includes HM performance that demonstrates leadership abilities, i.e. charge nurse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily work activities of staff in the department to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Provide guidance on staffing, budget compliance, and policy implementation.
• Lead training and performance initiatives to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
