East Houston Medical Center is seeking an exceptional NurseManager – Hospital Operations to provide strategic, hands‑on nursing leadershipat our Baytown facility. This role oversees nursing practice and patient care delivery across all clinical areas, ensuring safety, high‑quality, and compassionate care 24/7. The Nurse Manager will be the key on‑site nursing leader, partnering with executives, physicians, and department leaders to elevate quality, patient experience, and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadand support nursing teams across multiple hospital departments, ensuringconsistent standards of excellence in patient care and service.
  • Overseehospital‑wide staffing, patient placement, and acuity‑based assignments to maintain safe and efficient workflows.
  • Mentorand develop charge nurses and frontline leaders, fostering a culture ofaccountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Collaborateclosely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support effectivecommunication, rounding, and rapid response to changes in patientcondition.
  • Monitorclinical quality, nurse‑sensitive indicators, and patient experience data;drive targeted improvement initiatives.
  • Ensurecompliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, hospital policies,and professional nursing practice standards.
  • Partnerwith HR and Education on onboarding, competency, and ongoing professionaldevelopment for nursing staff.
  • Participatein or lead key hospital committees focused on quality, safety, infectionprevention, and nursing practice.
Qualifications
  • CurrentRegistered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or eligibility forTexas licensure).
  • Bachelorof Science in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree in nursing,Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
  • Atleast 5 years of acute care nursing experience, with a minimum of 3 yearsin a leadership role (charge nurse, supervisor, manager, or similar).
  • Demonstratedsuccess leading teams, improving clinical outcomes, and supporting apositive work environment.
  • Strongcommunication, collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills, with theability to manage complex clinical and operational situations.
