Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
Experience using Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
U.S. citizen and ability to obtain DOE security clearance

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Prepare and review journal entries to support the month-end close process.
Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
Analyze capital spending and perform ROI evaluations.
Produce timely financial reports and ad‑hoc analyses for management.
Uphold data integrity through thorough reconciliations and review procedures.
Ensure SOX compliance and support audits.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
Assist with quarterly forecasting activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement across financial systems.
