Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sales Engineer – OEM (Americas) to drive OEM sales strategies and grow revenue through technical solutions and customer engagement. You will develop new OEM customers, deliver quotes, and travel extensively to close complex deals while collaborating with internal teams to meet annual goals.

Required is a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related field with 5+ years in engineered product sales; a technical degree is preferred and travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience selling an engineered product into the processing industries.
• Technical degree is preferred.
• Experience with direct sales of process equipment or via manufacturers’ reps; pressure relief products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, strategize, and execute the OEM sales plan to meet AOP sales numbers for assigned accounts and markets.
• Provide product, application, service, and technical information to customers and prospects.
• Develop new target accounts and prepare quotes and proposals for OEM customers.
• Travel up to 75% and lead business development, team-selling, and closing on complex sales.
