Job summary

MovePlan seeks a Workplace Occupancy & Space Planner to join the on-site team at a multi-building campus in Gaithersburg and Rockville, MD. You will manage occupancy data, translate demand into insights, and support strategies across facilities, HR, and real estate.

You will collaborate with client operations, maintain data governance, and develop reporting and dashboards to inform capacity needs and moves. On-site with occasional home-based work, travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace occupancy or space planning, corporate real estate, facilities planning, workplace strategy, or related discipline.
• Strong data analytics, reporting, and dashboarding skills.
• Experience with headcount forecasts, space demand models, and capacity assessments.
• Advanced Excel, data cleansing, pivot tables, lookups, data modeling.
• Power BI dashboard and visualization experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining CAFM/IWMS or similar workplace data systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage occupancy data including headcount, seating capacity, vacancies, and allocations.
• Develop forecasting and scenario planning for space needs across multiple buildings.
• Create recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Support block and stack planning, adjacency studies, and space allocation decisions.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Real Estate, HR, IT, and vendors to align data, strategy, and delivery.
• Assist with field verification, asset tracking, and project moves.
