Job summary
Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Centralized Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator for the Jefferson Avenue Medical Office Building. You will create and edit nursing schedules, manage timecards, and mobilize staff for last-minute coverage using an electronic scheduling system, collaborating with nurse managers and leaders.
The role requires an associate degree and at least 1 year of experience with staffing and scheduling software, ideally in healthcare.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, data management, or related field.
- 1 year experience with staffing & scheduling software.
Responsibilities
- Creates and edits schedules for nursing departments using electronic scheduling system.
- Prepares accurate daily/shift schedules in collaboration with nurse managers.
- Approves or denies schedule requests based on skill mix and unit needs.
- Balances and publishes schedules to ensure coverage and posts incentive shifts.
- Contacts staff to provide coverage for open shifts.
- Manages sick calls and unplanned vacancies; recruits as needed.
- Maintains unit/department schedules and communicates needs to managers.
- Prepares timecards for manager approval and resolves exceptions.
- Maintains staffing records and distributes reports to leaders.
- Assists with allocation of agency resources and other duties.
