Mercy Health is seeking a Centralized Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator for the Jefferson Avenue Medical Office Building in Toledo, OH. You will manage staffing, timekeeping, and daily schedules across nursing units using an electronic system, ensuring coverage and efficient unit operation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with staffing & scheduling software is required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Creates and edits schedules for nursing departments in the electronic scheduling system.
• Prepares daily/shift schedules reflecting forecasted needs with nurse managers.
• Approves or denies schedule requests based on skill mix and unit needs.
• Balances and publishes schedules; determines vacancy rate and posts incentive shifts.
• Adjusts schedules by acquiring additional personnel or reducing scheduled staff.
• Within 24 hours of shift time, arranges coverage and communicates to units.
• Manages sick calls and unplanned vacancies; supports recruiting as needed.
• Maintains daily scheduling and communicates urgent staffing needs to managers.
• Approves/denies timecard requests and coordinates with unit managers.
• Prepares timecards for manager approval and clean-up of exceptions.
• Maintains staffing records and reports and distributes to leaders.
• Assists with allocation of agency resources and other duties as assigned.
