Job summary

CommonSpirit seeks a Manager of Nursing Professional Development to lead education, onboarding, and competency programs for the Utah market, ensuring alignment with clinical quality and patient safety goals.

You will design curricula, mentor NPD specialists, and ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, DNV, and state boards. This role emphasizes data-driven evaluation and leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSN preferred); BSN required if Master's degree is not in Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in state(s) of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• 2–5 years of clinical education experience.
• Expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum development, leadership, project management, regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead education strategy, nursing onboarding, and competency programs.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, DNV, and patient safety goals.
• Collaborate with regional and hospital leadership to align education with priorities.
• Assess nursing staff skills to identify knowledge gaps and drive development.
• Review metrics to measure impact on patient care, safety, and staff performance.
• Mentor NPD specialists and clinical educators in professional growth.
