Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller for its Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice in Southern New England, with opportunities in Quincy, Andover, Boston, Worcester, New Bedford, MA and Cranston, RI. You will act as the Controller for designated clients, advise on accounting best practices, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Seven years of accounting/financial experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is required, nonprofit and public accounting experience preferred, and CPA is helpful but not

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience and education accepted.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for designated nonprofit clients.
• Advise clients on accounting and finance best practices.
• Provide project management across multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements; make recommendations.
• Foster client opportunities and participate in industry trainings.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, directives, and accounting standards.
