Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller for our Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice. You will act as the Controller for designated clients, advising on best accounting and finance practices and managing multiple client engagements.

Qualifications include eight years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree, and nonprofit experience. CPA is preferred but not required; public accounting background is a plus. Join CLA to support clients and grow with a nationally recognized firm.

Qualifications

• Eight years of accounting/financial experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of experience and education may be accepted.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Nonprofit experience preferred; CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for the designated clients you service.
• Serve as consultant and advisor on accounting and finance best practices.
• Provide project management by coordinating multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide recommendations.
• Foster opportunities and attend industry events and trainings.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and GAAP.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
