Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller for its Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice, with opportunities in multiple U.S. locations including IN. You will act as the Controller for designated clients, advise on accounting best practices, and manage projects and deadlines while analyzing financial statements.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of related experience may be considered.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit sector highly preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Prior project management and client management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for the designated clients you service.
• Advise clients on best practices for accounting and finance engagements.
• Provide project management by handling multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and provide recommendations.
• Foster opportunities and attend industry events and trainings.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and accounting standards.
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives and actions.
