Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller for our Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice to serve designated nonprofit clients, lead accounting and finance engagements, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

This role requires eight years of relevant accounting/financial experience, a bachelor’s degree, and nonprofit accounting familiarity. CPA preferred but not required; public accounting experience is a plus. Travel to client sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• Public accounting experience preferred; nonprofit experience helpful.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for designated clients and advise on accounting and finance engagements.
• Provide project management and manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and current accounting standards.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
