CLA is seeking a Controller for our Non-Profit Services (CAAS) practice in Southern New England, with opportunities in Quincy, Andover, Boston, Worcester, New Bedford, MA and Cranston, RI. Required seven years of accounting/finance experience and a Bachelor’s degree; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Public accounting experience preferred; nonprofit experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for the designated nonprofit clients you service.
• Provide project management by handling multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and current accounting standards.
