Job summary

YMCA of the Northern Colorado is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations for multiple associations. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audits, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on governance and stakeholder engagement across a nonprofit multi-site environment.

The CFO will oversee financial systems, cost allocation, and investments, driving financial health and sustainable growth while partnering with executives and boards to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• MBA, CPA, CMA or other advanced credential strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash management, banking relationships, debt obligations, and investment activities.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, transactions, and reporting systems.
• Develop and maintain a transparent, budget-proportional cost allocation methodology for shared financial services.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership and Boards to support decision-making.
• Partner with operational leaders to align resources, capital investments, and growth initiatives with priorities.
• Maintain internal controls, financial policies, compliance practices, and accountability systems.
