Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years’ experience at a management level in Land or Purchasing for a high-volume production homebuilder.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Medium travel required, 25–50%.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to influence people through facts and demonstrations.
• Demonstrated judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven ability to inspire, train, develop, and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of manufacturers, distributors, and key contractors across categor ies.
• Understand key construction details and strategies for assigned categories.
• Plan and run national competitive bid processes (RFP/RFQ, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, awards).
• Develop and implement Total Cost of Ownership metrics by market for labor and key categories.
• Negotiate and execute national contracts focusing on pricing, rebates, and exclusivity terms.
• Track bid results, contract compliance, and rebate capture; report to leadership.
