Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Director of National Purchasing Operations to lead its national purchasing strategy across multiple categories. The role focuses on running national bids, negotiating contracts, and partnering with regional teams to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in a senior purchasing role in high-volume production building, plus a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a management role in Land or Purchasing for a high-volume production homebuilder.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead national purchasing strategy for assigned product and service categories.
• Run national competitive bid processes and negotiate contracts.
• Partner with Division and Regional Purchasing leadership to drive cost efficiency and supply continuity.
• Develop and implement Total Cost of Ownership metrics by market for labor and key categories.
• Negotiate and execute national contracts with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Track bid results and contract compliance; report to National and Division leadership.
• Support Cost Reduction and Value Engineering workshops with Divisions.
• Benchmark industry sourcing and drive improvements to the national program.
