Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey seeks an Account Manager for the National Large Group market to retain existing accounts and grow additional lines. You will lead relationships with administrators, TPAs, brokers, and consultants, coordinating with internal teams to ensure service delivery, compliance, and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten years of account management experience with increasing responsibility.
• Sales/Account Management experience in National Large Group markets preferred.
• Renewal strategy experience incl. plan design changes & pricing discussions.
• New Jersey State Health/Life License required.
• Proficient with Word/Excel/PowerPoint; intranet/internet familiarity.
• Knowledge of National/Large group segments and managed care.
• Understanding of rating processes and policy renewal practices.
• Knowledge of Horizon BCBSNJ products, underwriting, enrollment, billing, and claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract renewals and negotiate terms.
• Identify opportunities to sell additional lines of business.
• Lead day-to-day account relationships with administrators, TPAs, brokers, and consultants.
• Represent Horizon at trustee and client forums.
• Proactively manage client expectations and resolve issues.
• Partner with Data & Reporting teams for client-specific insights.
• Coordinate with Service, Claims, Provider Contracting, Network, Finance, Compliance, IT, and Vendors.
• Develop client workshops on enrollment, claims procedures, and regulations.
