Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking an experienced strategic Account Manager focused on SHBP relationships. You will support the account management teams across underwriting, billing, and market dynamics to help increase profitability and expand membership and revenue.

The role involves developing forecasts, translating state legislation into business requirements, leading vendor integrations, and collaborating across the organization to retain members and grow the SHBP book.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in group health.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
• Knowledge of complex billing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter support to account management on underwriting, billing, and market dynamics.
• Serve as SME for billing operations and resolve inquiries and discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain forecasts, identifying trends and risks impacting financial performance.
• Support plan design implementations and translate state legislation into business requirements.
• Act as business lead for vendor integrations serving State members.
• Liaise with account management and other teams to support client management.
• Manage database of market stakeholders and connections.
• Assist in developing strategic plans to retain and grow SHBP membership.
• Train newly hired staff on the SHBP Market.
