Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking an Account Manager for the National Large Group market. You will retain existing accounts and expand coverage across complex national groups, coordinating with internal teams to ensure service delivery and performance.

The role emphasizes contract negotiations, client consulting, and strategic support, with travel required across the United States and NJ. A ten-year track record in account management within health insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 10+ years in account management with growth in health insurance.
• National Large Group market experience preferred.
• Licensure: New Jersey State Health/Life License.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewals, negotiate terms and contract modifications.
• Identify opportunities to sell additional lines of business.
• Lead day-to-day account interactions with administrators, brokers, and consultants.
• Represent Horizon at trustee meetings, board meetings, and client forums.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure service delivery and compliance.
• Deliver client-specific reporting and performance insights.
• Support ASO groups including Full and Shared Administration.
• Develop client group workshops on enrollment and procedures.
• Analyze factors to inform financial and service decisions.
• Keep accounts and brokers updated on regulatory changes.
