Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a senior account manager to drive retention and growth for National Group clients. You will build trusted relationships with clients and consultants, report insights on financial and service value, and leverage market trends to guide decisions.

The role emphasizes data-backed recommendations, collaboration with Client Services, and strategic renewal coordination. A NC Health & Life license and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.
• Must be able to obtain a North Carolina Health and Life Insurance license within the 60 days of employment in this position.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Retain existing business, maximize group retention, and keep groups profitable.
• Direct accountability for P&L performance and revenue generation.
• Negotiate renewals and cross-sell opportunities with complex clients and consultants.
• Identify growth opportunities in ancillary products and expanded service offerings.
