Job summary

Meta Security is hiring an experienced Security Engineer to join the Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation across security and engineering groups.

You will identify critical assets and top risks, evaluate attacks, and build logging pipelines with both industry-standard and custom platforms. A strong background in both offensive/defensive security and scalable security architectures is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in offensive or defensive cyber operations, detection and response, or similar security engineering.
• Ability to communicate and influence across functions to drive security solutions.
• Experience delivering executive-level security strategies.
• Engineering mindset to reason about complex systems.
• Experience designing response systems for external and insider threats.
• Educational background or equivalent work experience in CS.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize risks across the company.
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy security capabilities.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen threat detection and response for complex threats.
• Perform TTP-based threat modeling across assets and environments.
• Review architecture and propose logging, detection, and prevention controls.
• Collaborate with policy and legal to strengthen standards and governance.
• Build automated response workflows to reduce false positives.
• Influence asset-owning teams on access controls and processes.
• Support incident response across a cross-functional environment.
• Build logging pipelines using custom datasets and infrastructure.
