Meta Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy, coordinate across security and engineering teams, and develop detection and response automation leveraging custom and industry-standard platforms.

You will identify critical assets, assess top risks, and evaluate potential attacks against Meta systems while collaborating with policy and legal teams to strengthen standards and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in offensive or defensive cyber operations, detection and response engineering, or a similar security engineering role
• Experience in communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions
• Experience delivering executive-level security strategies
• Engineering experience and the capacity to understand and reason about complex technical systems
• Experience designing systems used for responding to both external and insider threats
• BS in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/workflows and drive measurable impact
• Experience in threat hunting and using intelligence data to identify suspicious behavior

Responsabilités

• Proactively identify and prioritize areas of risk across the company
• Lead major cross-company workstreams to deploy capabilities from multiple security teams to mitigate this risk
• Apply domain expertise and an attacker’s mindset to strengthen incident detection and response capabilities
• Perform TTP-based threat modeling for assets including endpoints, mobile, servers, cloud environments, and networking equipment
• Review security architecture and propose logging, detection, and prevention controls
• Work with policy and legal teams to strengthen standards and governance
• Build response workflows that auto-resolve false positives and provide context for investigations
• Influence asset-owning teams to adopt appropriate access control designs and processes
• Support security incident response in a cross-functional environment and drive resolution
• Build logging pipelines using our custom datasets and infrastructure
