Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced Security Engineer to join the Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation across security and engineering.

You will identify critical assets and TTPs, assess risks, and lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen incident detection and response capabilities for complex threats across endpoints, cloud, and networks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in offensive or defensive cyber operations, detection and response engineering or a similar security engineering role.
• Experience in communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions.
• Experience designing systems for responding to external and insider threats.
• Background in security-focused software engineering, designing large-scale data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and prioritize risk across the company.
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy capabilities to mitigate risk.
• Develop detection and response automation leveraging internal and external platforms.
• Build response workflows that auto-resolve false positives and provide context.
