Job summary

Badger Meter Inc is seeking a Municipal Account Manager to grow relationships with municipal and utility accounts in the designated region, including Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. This role requires frequent visits to accounts to drive sales growth and share of wallet across product lines.

The role involves collaboration with alliance partners, distributors, and the Municipal Sales Manager. You will establish targets, conduct promotions, and report territory insights while traveling up to

Qualifications

• Advanced skills at negotiating to win multi-million-dollar contracts.
• Strong communication, presentation and influence skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Salesforce or related system.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve sales targets for municipal and utility products.
• Conduct promotional efforts to secure new accounts and upsell solutions.
• Participate in regional trade shows and national conventions.
• Keep municipal and utility accounts informed on product updates and developments.
• Provide outstanding customer support throughout the sales process.
• Submit regular reports on territory penetration and market insights.
• Partner with Municipal Sales Managers to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery dates within authorized limits.
