Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Municipal Account Manager to grow municipal and utility accounts in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The role requires frequent regional visits to drive sales growth, work with alliance partners, and manage authorized distributors within the territory.

Residents in the territory are required. Target base compensation is $95,000-$100,000 plus monthly sales incentive; benefits include health, vision, dental, retirement contributions, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with business/communications focus.
• 3+ years in account management selling utilities or government agencies.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve sales targets for municipal and utility products.
• Promote solutions at regional events and through distributors.
• Keep accounts informed on product updates and provide excellent support.
• Submit territory reports with insights for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Municipal Sales Managers to improve efficiency and growth.
• Manage distributors within the territory and negotiate terms.
• Travel up to 75% to visit accounts and attend events.
