Job summary

Mission Ridge is seeking a Director of Mountain Operations to lead Lift Operations, Grooming, Snowmaking, Terrain Park, Patrol, and summer trail work. You will coordinate across departments, manage capital projects, and ensure open, safe, and high-quality experiences for guests.

The role requires strong planning, budgeting, and external liaison with US Forest Service and state agencies; you will mentor managers, plan annual operating budgets, and be on-call to support winter and summer

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent; higher education is preferred.
• Minimum five years ski area operations experience, including at least three years as a department manager.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate mountain equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operational Readiness: prepare on-mountain product so operations open on schedule.
• Agency Relations: maintain relationships with US Forest Service and other agencies.
• Budgeting: help establish operating and capital budgets; monitor performance.
• Policies and Procedures: create and maintain policies for safety, guests, and staff.
• Staff Leadership: mentor department managers; support hiring and training.
• Capital Projects: manage on-mountain construction and summer projects.
