Job summary

Silver Mountain seeks a Mountain Manager responsible for overseeing Lift Maintenance, Gondola operations, snowmaking, and all related departments to ensure top guest service and safety. You will lead planning, staffing, and training while enforcing company policies and coordinating with other departments.

The role requires proactive leadership, strong communication, and a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and safety programs in a dynamic mountain environment.

• Must have electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lift Maintenance, Patrol, Snowmaking, Vehicle Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Water and Sewer Systems, Snow Grooming and Gondola/Lift Operations.
• Develop and communicate operation plans for key operational elements.
• Create emergency procedures for chairlift and gondola evacuations.
• Ensure ANSI and Industry standards are met for operations.
• Hire and train new staff; ensure proper staffing and staff development.
• Manage schedules and supervise management team; conduct regular reviews and meetings.
• Monitor budgets and payroll; ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Maintain guest satisfaction and safety; ensure clean, well-maintained facilities.
• Assist in other departments as needed and cover for GM when absent.
