Job summary

Limbach is seeking a Special Projects Engineer to support revenue and gross profit goals across assigned accounts in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on managing key MEP accounts, cultivating strong customer relationships, and providing on-demand maintenance and project support.

Responsibilities include preparing bid scopes, pricing proposals, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring timely invoicing and cost control. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in effective collaboration and communication (both written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) or equivalent Google Applications.
• Capacity to leverage interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and driving record compliant with policy.

Responsibilities

• Supports the branches sales and operational gross profit goals.
• Assists in managing accounts by dedicating 100% of time to selected mission critical MEP accounts.
• Makes routine customer visits daily and/or weekly for regular interaction and customer attention.
• Develops relationships and positions the company as the trusted source for maintenance and improvement of mechanical systems.
• Analyzes mechanical systems to propose repair, replacement, upgrade or retrofit options and supports proposals.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to capture wallet share through service offerings.
• Reviews work on site, drafts bid scopes, and submits for approval.
• Assists in cost management and timely invoicing of work.
• Monitors receivables and supports strategic account planning to grow recurring revenue.
