Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer to join the Building Systems team.

You will lead project production, coordinate with in-house architects and engineers, and manage designs from concept through construction for diverse nationwide projects. You will mentor junior staff, perform comprehensive MEP calculations, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while supporting ongoing professional growth and learning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (ABET) or equivalent experience.
PE license preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience in MEP engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and production of MEP systems for commercial and institutional facilities using AutoCAD and Revit.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians in construction documents and specs.
Perform HVAC, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, and water supply design calculations.
Coordinate design elements with architecture, structures, site civil, and landscape teams.
Contribute to technical decisions and ensure code compliance.
Support cross-training across all aspects of MEP engineering and professional development.
