Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Executive Meeting Manager to drive profitable execution for groups and contracts at Kimpton Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and sales strategies while maintaining client relationships and a high-performance culture within Convention Services.

Responsibilities include ensuring revenue goals, managing event operations, and collaborating with banquet and culinary teams to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and attendees.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience with catering sales.
• 1+ year within the Hospitality Industry.
• Must have experience at a similar size and quality hotel.
• Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
• Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers.
• Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.
• Ability to execute appropriate action plans.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast monthly and annual budgets and forecasts.
• Raise meeting planner evaluation scores and ensure satisfaction.
• Optimize room rental charges.
• Drive repeat business with long-term client relationships.
• Participate in industry organizations (NACE, MPI).
• Master sales techniques with strong closing and negotiating skills.
• Coordinate hotel site inspections and client presentations.
