Sonesta International Hotels in Chicago seeks a capable Conference Sales Manager to oversee conferences, meetings, and group functions booked through the sales department.

You will provide strategic vision, coordinate operations with hotel departments, and lead a team to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Some nights/weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Some College plus 1-2 years sales or marketing related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of hotel sales and/or catering preferred.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Track record of delivering exceptional guest and client experience.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate food and beverage prices, function space, and hotel services within approved guidelines.
• Assist clients with menu planning, F&B coordination, and room setup.
• Work with sales staff to service and solicit new business and up-sell events.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to fulfill client requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Follow up with clients during and after events to secure future bookings.
