Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Catering/Conference Services Manager to coordinate meetings, conventions, and events across Sonesta's NYC properties. This on-site role involves selling meeting spaces, coordinating F&B and function planning with hotel staff, and cultivating client relationships to maximize revenue.

The ideal candidate has guest-focused service, strong organization, and leadership potential in catering and conference services.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field preferred.
• 1-2 years hotel experience required; sales/front desk a plus.
• Proficiency in Salesforce FDC and/or Opera is a plus.
• Intermediary knowledge of MS Outlook and Word is required.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing is a must; bilingual/multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Detail and service all assigned bookings with group rooms and/or event space.
• Ensure room blocks and event spaces are managed per Sonesta guidelines.
• Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and attend daily meetings.
• Assist clients in menu planning, F&B coordination, and room setup.
• Coordinate meetings and liaise with hotel operations to ensure event success.
