Job summary

QTS Medical Device Outsourcing in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing of raw materials, supplies, and services for existing product lines. You will develop supplier relationships, create purchase orders, maintain pricing information, and ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include supplier quotes, order placement, contract negotiations, and keeping accurate procurement records.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field
• 5 years of experience in a buyer role
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to consistently achieve short- and long-term business results
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed

• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Purchasing and planning materials, components, and services with quality, delivery, and price targets
• Procure assigned parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and services
• Contact suppliers, obtain quotes, place orders, and ensure timely delivery
• Negotiate contracts to purchase material and services
• Manage product flow from requisition to receipt and disposal of discrepant material
• Follow up with suppliers to meet schedule
• Expedite delivery of critical material
• Input and document requisitions, PO changes, and procurement activity
• Maintain purchasing metrics and supplier performance data
• Advise management of supplier risks and production delays
• Coordinate supplier deliveries to streamline production workflow
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers
