Job summary

Trelleborg Medical Solutions in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the Buyer team and drive global supply strategies across nominated commodities.

You will negotiate contracts, build supplier relationships, and align purchasing with Manufacturing sites to ensure stable supply and PE excellence. This role requires robust negotiation, leadership, and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or related field.
• 3 years of increasing leadership experience managing purchasing or supply chain professionals.
• 5-7+ years of progressive purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Completed or working towards CPSM, CSCP, CPM or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Proven track record of supplier negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management with domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience managing strategic supplier relationships in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or highly regulated industries preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to initiate and lead conversations.
• Business and commercial awareness; planning and organizational skills; ability to cope with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Spend mapping and analysis across global spend data.
• Develop, maintain and execute a global strategy for nominated commodities.
• Develop and negotiate contracts with key suppliers for nominated commodities.
• Lead sourcing projects and support local sites in identifying opportunities.
• Engage with supplier markets, attend seminars, and network with peers.
• Identify risk areas that could limit supplier options and manage relationships.
• Manage B2B meetings with key suppliers and drive stable supply.
• Drive PE-related sourcing activities and implement direct/indirect material initiatives.
