Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in commercial accounts.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and analyze information to make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of business within a location or region.
• Partner with RVP to develop and implement business strategies to achieve profit and growth objectives.
• Effectively manage local strategies, objectives and tactics concerning relationships with brokers and agencies.
• Underwrite and negotiate the most complex, at-risk, or hard-to-close deals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales strategies and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Regularly meet in person with agents and brokers and travel to meetings.
• Provide strategic direction and support for team and take responsibility for coaching, training, and performance management.
