Travelers is hiring a Managing Director for Commercial Accounts. You will lead a team of underwriters, drive profitability and growth for mid-sized commercial accounts, and collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal partners to tailor protection across General Liability, Property, Auto, and Workers' Compensation.

Travel to meetings is required. The role requires extensive underwriting in complex commercial accounts, leadership experience, and CPCU designation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree aligned with business or related field.
• Eight to ten years of underwriting experience with commercial accounts.
• Experience leading or managing others.
• Prior management of a field location.

Aufgaben

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of business within a location or region.
• Partner with RVP to develop and implement business strategies to effectively achieve profit and growth objectives.
• Effectively manage local strategies, objectives and tactics concerning relationships with brokers and agencies.
• Underwrite and negotiate the most complex, at-risk, or hard-to-close deals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales strategies and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Regularly meet in person with agents and brokers and travel to meetings as needed.
• Provide strategic direction and support for the team and take responsibility for coaching, training, and performance management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
