Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a seasoned purchasing and materials management leader to coordinate procurement, planning, and supplier relationships across business units. You will manage the flow of materials from suppliers through to delivery, while driving cost reductions and process improvements.

The role requires strong experience in MRP/ERP systems, supplier performance, and lean manufacturing practices, with a focus on achieving on-time delivery and inventory objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing/materials management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with modern materials management systems including supply chain management, JIT, MRPII, and with APICS/CPM certification preferred.
• Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management; relevant certifications preferred.
• Analytical and technical skills to identify automation opportunities and improve processes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication for internal and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data handling in typical corporate software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including order placement, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive Production Planning Department's MRP activities to meet on-time delivery and financial targets (RONA).
• Maintain data integrity and ownership across the MRP database and related systems.
• Define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery.
• Ensure location/division policies align with inventory objectives and corporate standards.
• Support kanban, lean principles, supplier managed inventories, and consolidated purchasing strategies.
