Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a Buyer to source materials and services, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely deliveries. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to resolve everyday purchasing questions and improve supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, RFQ processing, bid analysis, and ongoing supplier performance monitoring, with a focus on cost, delivery, and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 4‑year college degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.
• Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and manufacturing through internships or training programs.
• Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers by researching parts, equipment, and services availability.
• Conduct supplier visits and assess capabilities, performance, delivery, and other criteria.
• Purchase parts and materials by preparing RFQs and placing orders with approved suppliers; maintain lead times.
• Evaluate bids and select suppliers; negotiate price, delivery, quality and service; identify alternate sources.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate potential issues to prevent delays.
• Resolve shipment quality discrepancies and mediate between suppliers and internal teams.
