Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a procurement leader to direct division sourcing of source-controlled components and drive lean supply chain practices. This role manages supplier selection, cost optimization, and risk mitigation across manufacturing operations.

You will negotiate with suppliers, establish performance criteria, and build continuous improvement programs while ensuring long-term supply continuity and cost efficiency. The role emphasizes leadership, analytics, and strategic contracting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years purchasing/management experience.
• Strong negotiation skills; experience in single-source environment with long lead times (~52 weeks).
• Understanding of aerospace source-controlled supplier management and win/win solutions.
• Support team members in LTA negotiations for long-term supply continuity.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management; certification in supply chain management preferred.
• Experience in supplier contract writing/negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Division's purchases of source-controlled components and establishes cost-efficient supplier sources.
• Establishes supplier criteria based on price, quality, delivery, certifications, and gov't regulations.
• Interviews, selects, and negotiates with suppliers; promotes use of strategic suppliers.
• Collaborates with suppliers to develop continuous improvement programs addressing quality, delivery, and price.
• Develops re-order procedures and contingency programs; benchmarks supplier performance.
• Drives margin growth through deflation and new supply sources; reviews price indexes regularly.
• Develops and mentors talent to ensure long-term procurement success.
